Grew up watching AWA on regular tv 70's and 80's. Jim "Baron Von" Raschke lives in my town now. I run into him occasionally at the grocery store. Really showing his age now, but still kickin.

I grew up in the sixties and early seventies with Gordon Solie and Championship Wrestling from Florida. Wow, the memories!

Myself and Terry Gordy drove from Chattanooga,TN to Tuscaloosa,AL to a WWE TV taping and so Terry could see Michael Hayes. All the boys came up and paid respect to Terry. The Dudley Boys put Terry Gordy over big. Vince McMahon was there he was nice and super respectful to Terry. Terry passed away the next week. Terry was complaining about his shoulder bothering him. It was a blood clot and that’s what he passed away from.

I knew the Grahams as a kid. Eddie Graham was always nice to us kids when we went to his house. Never once did he turn us away. Mike was a teenager and he would come home with a future star...Steve Kern. He always promoted the Fla Sheriff's Boy Ranch. He was a true hero to us kids.

Bro losing a family can really be devastating to a man who really cares about his family. I feel for Mike and his children man, a very similar situation happened to me in 2018 when my ex left me took my daughter and recorded me every time I spoke to her on the phone to ask why she was doing this and I just want to be with my daughter then put a restraining order on me and had me charged with stalking lol stalking bro like I was not outside her house or anything like that I would literally just call to get closure and try to have a relationship with my daughter… Anyways long story short I was living in my car super depressed and thought about ending it every moment of the day… I know what Mike had to be going through and it’s hard as a man to accept things you’ll never understand and push forward hoping for better days… It’s 2024 I’m still here and hoping for the day I’ll be able to see my daughter again but I pulled myself out of the funk when a lot of men will take a less painful route but that doesn’t mean life is easy you just got to have faith in yourself to fight for a better tomorrow. Wow dude I really don’t talk about this much but Mike Awesome was someone I loved watching as a kid and I guess this just inspired me to share.

Starting 12:34 a few small Saskatchewan towns scroll by on the screen with dates. I live in one of those towns. When I say small, I mean small, like however small you're thinking, it's probably smaller. It's honestly insane that they hit those towns, I had no idea. I was living in a bigger small town (technically a city, pop 6000) a couple of hours away in those days and Stampede would come to us regularly, but I guess I always assumed we were like the bare minumum they could perform for. I can't imagine what kind of houses they were drawing in some of those places, or what the payouts would have been for the boys.
